Hard To Say I’m Sorry

Two versions. I love both.

Chicago:

Az Yet:

“Hard To Say I’m Sorry”

Everybody need a little time away
I heard her say, from each other
Even lovers need a holiday
Far away from each other

Hold me now
It’s hard for me to say, I’m sorry (oh)
I just want you to stay (stay with me)

After all that you’ve been through
I will make it up to you, I promise you baby
And after all that’s been said and done
You’re just a part of me I can’t let go

Couldn’t stand to be kept away
Not for a day, from your body
(baby, I can’t live without you, not even day)
Wouldn’t wanna be swept away (away)
Far away from the one that I love

Hold me now
It’s hard for me to say, I’m sorry
I just want you to know (you to know)
Hold me now
I really wanna tell you I’m sorry
I could never let you go

After all that we’ve been through
I will make it up to you, I promise you
And after all that’s been said and done
You’re just a part of me I can’t let go
I can’t let go

  1. “Chicago!” One of the best groups ever. I wasn’t aware of the other version, but I liked it too, but did that gal have to throw that drink in the guy’s face? Well, sometimes it might be necessary….
    Thanks for the memories, Persia!

    • Oh, I agree. Definitely. ‘If You Leave Me Now’ if a favourite of mine.
Regarding the drink in the guy’s face… Hmm, maybe she thought he was over-heating, so tried to cool him down? I don’t know, I’m just being silly!
You’re welcome. Always a pleasure to make someone smile/make someone’s day. xo

  2. Love Chicago and their music… but so many memories came flooding back as I listened to this song bringing tears to my eyes. I guess more wounds that need healing. I liked the new version too but it definitely did not have to emotional attachment. I guess i am showing my age… LOL… Thanks for sharing.
