What is going on in the world?
Every day, I wake up to tragic news.
My heart is broken for all the lives lost.
For all those who have suffered and are suffering.
I don’t know what else to say.
I have no more words.

Thank you, Canadian Mom. I feel so hurt. So helpless. My beloved London is falling apart. So broken hearted right now. I try to do good. I try to teach Max to do good. Is it enough? Im not sure anymore. π’

Give a big hug to Max β and yes it is enough. Things have been bad before and they will get better in time. Donβt lose heart. This is where your faith must remain strong. (I send hugs to you both)

And this is why I am so grateful to know you. When in doubt, you encourage me to see a different perspective through tears of sadness. Thank you. ππ

It’s the world we live in, Persia. I don’t turn my television on during the day. It’s always something and it’s becoming the rule…not the exception. So very sad . π

Can’t say I blame you. I have the tv on in the background, whilst I potter around. Only comedies are allowed. However, I do get an alert on my phone for Breaking News. Very sad indeed. You know when you feel… well… helpless? That’s me right now. I’m racking my brain to see if there is anything I can do to help Mankind. I can’t think of anything – apart from what I’m doing already. π’

My friend gets those alerts. I just don’t want them. After 9/11, I started turning the television on in the morning. I thought things had calmed down but now it’s EVERY SINGLE DAY it seems. Here we’ve got two prisoners on the loose after killing two guards. One thing after another. π₯

I read about those two guards being killed. I couldn’t believe it. And you’re right; it is every single day. I am so fed up and down about the way things are. I try to make the best of life for Little Yum-Yum’s sake, but deep down, it’s hard to shut out the craziness.

Iβm not sure I could deal with the world now if I had small children. Instead of learning their ABCs, theyβre learning how to dodge bullets. π₯

I dont know what to tell Little Yum-Yum. So far, I’ve not said anything. No sure how much longer I can get away with it. I guess I’ll know when the time comes.

You will. He may come to you and ask you why things have happened and are happening. Children shouldn’t be kept in the dark about the world. It’s going to be theirs one day and we need to prepare them. Sometimes, one single person (i.e. the Reverend Martin Luther King) can inspire a nation. Who knows? Our little Yum-Yum may be one of those great men who literally changes the world. And you are the perfect mother to raise such a man. π

I know, but I just don’t know how.
Oh, my! Your comment made me cry! Our Little Yum-Yum just might, indeed! I’m lost for words… Thank you so much for the lovely things you’ve said. Wow! ππ

Sometimes, I just close my eyes and drift far, far away from it all.

Sometimes, it’s the only way one can cope. I wish I could do the same. I tend to watch comedies in the hope I can at least raise a smile…

Keep the faith!
It is very sad that there is so much sadness in our world, and each day it seems that there is an added sadness. All we can do is pray and keep the faith.

I’m trying. Really I am. I pray every day for for all sorts, but always for mankind. Pushing through each day is getting harder; news is nearly always negative. Hopefully, in the very near future, things will change for the better.
