When you don’t know what they are doing, you can’t fall for the fake picture they are trying to paint. Don’t look, don’t engage, don’t respond. It’s not worth the price that comes with dealing with them.

You can never satisfy the narcissist. They have this mind game complaint where you’re forever trying to live up to their expectations. Their plan is to make you feel like a failure. This is really how they actually feel.

The narcissist that was so king and wonderful to you just doesn’t exist. That charm you received initially is a tool they use to gain your trust, get you to open up so they read you page by page and know what to do and what not to do. When they know you are wrapped up in them, they go in for the tear down of your life. This mean, cold, moody, distant liar is the real them.

They sit and wait for it. Anything that comes out of your mouth is of value to the narcissist. This is one reason why dealing with them is so exhausting. The minute you let your guard down you regret it because they remind you that they can’t be trusted with anything.
